The Day Skipper course syllabus covers the following:

- Handling under Power
- Yacht Handling under Sail
- Passage-making
- Night Cruising
5 days aboard a yacht, including 100 miles sailed and 4 night hours. Adequate english level.
You will also be required to have assumed knowledge of theory to the level of RYA Day Skipper, and be able to understand and calculate the following:
1. Calculate tidal heights using standard port graphs
2. Convert true bearings in to compass bearing applying variation and deviation
3. Work out a course to steer applying tidal set and drift
4. Work out an estimated position applying course steered, distance travelled, estimated tidal set and drift and leeway.
5. Construct a passage plan for a short coastal passage, including pilotage plans for harbour exit and entry.
Please be aware that the instructor will test you on this level of knowledge.

RYA Day skipper Practical Certification
Sunday evening:
Students arrive on Sundays and we meet at 18:30 for a Welcome and Domestic Safety Brief.
Monday – Thursday:
You will have the opportunity to enhance your sailing skills while experiencing the beauty of the Greek islands. Our program is designed to blend hands-on training with the joy of sailing in the Aegean Sea. You will receive practical sailing experience and visit at least three islands. You will practice navigation, docking, and sail handling, while also enjoying the stunning scenery and local culture.
Friday:
We finish on Friday afternoons around 17:00 and then have drinks and do certificates at around 18:00. Students are allowed to stay on the boat until Saturday at 09:00.
