Become a skipper
This continuously assessed course equips aspiring sailors with practical skippering skills while exploring the Saronic or Cyclades Islands from Athens. Unlike static programs, we sail to secluded bays and anchor in harbours like Aegina and Poros.
Our patient RYA Instructors combine international sailing expertise with year-round immersion in Greek waters.
Under their guidance, you will:
- Execute short passages without returning to the same port
- Master navigation, night sailing and Mediterranean mooring
- Gain confidence making decisions in evolving conditions
The globally recognised RYA Day Skipper certificate is awarded upon completion, qualifying you to charter yachts worldwide.
Suggested prerequisites
- Pre-course study (digital materials included)
12-day on-board experience
- Every Sunday at 18:30 until Friday at 12:00
- Explore at least 5 Greek islands
- 45-foot yacht training for up to 5 students
Ability after course
- Skipper a sailing yacht by day
